DOGGY WELLNESS IN THE HEART OF SOMERSET.
Welcome to Monty’s Meadow
Our aim is to provide a space for your dog to elicit all their natural instincts like digging sniffing and climbing, all the things they probably get told not to do in our homes.
The 2.5 acre field is equipped with many activities for your dog to enjoy.
More features:
2.5 acre field
1.8 metre high fence
Wash station
Secure and private parking
Cosy cabin for the owners
The field is surrounded by a 1.8-metre-high wooden post and metal mesh fence, with extra underground fencing added for security and rabbit-proofing.
Sustainability is at the forefront of the business practised throughout the development of the field, reusing and up-cycling items sourced from the farm to create the infrastructure. We have also planted a row of trees, which you can see within the perimeter of the field.
The mound was created using the soil from digging out the car park and cabin plot. With redundant concrete pipes collected from a field, used to create the integrated tunnels. The old tractor and trailer tyres have been dug into the ground so your dogs can run through them. The agility equipment is mine and Monty’s that we used to train with.
Visit our social media pages to find out more about the transformation of the field.

Engaging in sensory-enriching activities is very important for a dog, providing both physical and mental stimulation.
We have carefully selected plants and herbs for their individual properties that have many benefits for your dog.
Research suggests that regular sniffing can reduce stress, anxiety and reactive behaviour. Why not try scattering some of your dog's favourite treats among the logs or stones and watch them use their nose to find them?
Did you also know that dogs choose plants to self-medicate based on their physiological and psychological needs?

In the warmer months, you may find:
Rosemary
Rich in antioxidant and antimicrobial properties which contribute to overall health and immunity. Supporting cardiovascular health and digestion through promoting healthy gut bacteria. Some studies also suggest that rosemary may have a calming effect on dogs. Rosemary can also act as a natural flea repellent!
Sage
Acts as an anti-inflammatory, with healing properties that can help to reduce joint and muscle discomfort whilst also alleviating allergy symptoms. The antimicrobial properties can freshen their breath by killing oral bacteria and soothe sensitive stomachs and promote healthy digestion. Sage is also a good source of vitamins and minerals that support overall well-being and immunity.
Mint
Mint’s natural properties can help to freshen breath and soothe minor stomach discomfort whilst promoting digestion. It can also help relieve seasonal allergies as menthol can help with nasal decongestion.
The anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, containing vitamins and minerals.
Sunflowers
Sunflower seeds and oil offer a range of nutritional advantages, specifically rich in healthy fats. These help to maintain skin and coat health as well as lowering blood pressure and cholesterol levels, which potentially reduces the risk of heart disease. The vitamins and minerals are vital for a healthy immune system. Some studies suggest that sunflower seeds have antibacterial and antifungal properties, can protect against oxidative stress and reduce inflammation.
Nepita
Also known as Catnip, which you may associate with cats, however, it acts as a natural sedative, which produces a calming effect to help relax anxious dogs. Catnip can also soothe an upset stomach and may even aid in preventing travel sickness and improve sleep. The plant contains many vitamins, minerals, and essential oils, which all contribute to the nutritional value of a dog's diet and can help to deter fleas.
*Please note that all these plants and herbs are safe for dogs to both smell and ingest, but as with all food, these should be consumed in small quantities.
Our secure dog walking field features a fun agility course, perfect for dogs of all shapes, sizes, and skill levels
